Bathroom Renovation in The Beaches

Get A Quick Quote

Bathrooms in older Beaches cottages and Edwardian homes tend to be small, sometimes tucked under a staircase or squeezed into a converted closet, with plumbing that hasn’t been touched in decades. iRemodel Home Renovation Toronto specializes in making the most of these tight footprints, whether that means a full layout redesign or a high-quality refresh within the existing space.

What’s Involved in a Beaches Bathroom Renovation

Bathroom renovations in the GTA typically take 2 to 4 weeks and range from $15,000 to $30,000 or more for a full 3-piece bathroom, depending on fixtures, tile, and how much of the plumbing layout changes. Common Beaches projects include:

Replacing outdated tubs with walk-in or curbless showers
Custom vanities sized to fit non-standard, older bathroom footprints
Full re-piping where original plumbing has deteriorated

Local Considerations for Beaches Properties

Older Beaches homes often have galvanized or outdated copper plumbing that needs replacing during a renovation, even if the layout itself stays the same. Any project involving plumbing relocation, electrical work, or structural changes requires a City of Toronto building permit, which our team manages on your behalf.

Why Beaches Homeowners Choose iRemodel

Our in-house licensed plumbers and tilers handle the full scope of a bathroom renovation, from rough-in through finished tile work, so nothing falls through the cracks between trades. Every project comes with a one-year warranty regardless of size.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can an old cast-iron tub be replaced with a walk-in shower?

Yes, this is one of the most common upgrades we do in older Beaches homes. It usually involves relocating drainage, which we handle as part of the permit and construction process.

Do older Beaches homes usually need plumbing upgrades during a bathroom renovation?

Often, yes. Many properties still have original plumbing that’s due for replacement, and it’s more cost-effective to address it during the renovation than after.

How long does a full bathroom renovation take?

Most projects take 2 to 4 weeks from demolition to final walkthrough, with full layout changes running slightly longer.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I found iRemodel through Google, and I’m so glad I chose them. He worked on my late mother’s house, which is very sentimental to my sisters and me, so it was important to find someone we could trust. He worked on the powder room and he was professional, went above and beyond, and stayed in consistent communication throughout the entire process. He was also very punctual. if he said he would arrive at 8 a.m., he was there right on time and always left at a reasonable hour. I truly appreciate the care and respect he showed while working on such a meaningful space. I would highly recommend iRemodel to anyone looking for reliable and thoughtful service. I would definitely look forward to working with him again in the future.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I couldn’t be happier with my condo renovation — the transformation is absolutely stunning! From start to finish, the team brought incredible vision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. They completely reimagined the layout by knocking down a wall to create a spacious, open studio that feels bright, modern, and so much larger than before. The seamless porcelain tile installed throughout the entire unit not only looks beautiful but also makes the space feel cohesive and high-end. One of my favorite upgrades is the newly created space for our washer and dryer — such a smart and functional addition, that added real convenience. They also sealed the kitchen bar to create a more defined separation between the kitchen and living area, which improved both flow and functionality. The fresh white paint brightened everything instantly, and the addition of track lighting in the living room gave the space a clean, contemporary feel while adding warmth and ambiance. Overall the quality of the work was exceptional and communication was smooth throughout the entire project. If you’re looking for a team that delivers beautiful results and truly elevates your space, I highly recommend Dave and his team at iRemodel!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I am very content with the renovation of this unit. From the moment you walk in, it’s immediately clear how much care, thought, and craftsmanship went into redoing both the kitchen and the bathroom. The transformation is truly impressive and has elevated the entire space to feel modern, fresh, and incredibly inviting. The kitchen is a standout. Everything feels thoughtfully designed and well executed—from the updated cabinetry and sleek finishes to the overall layout, which now feels both functional and modern. The materials used are clearly high quality, and the attention to detail really shows. It’s the kind of kitchen that not only looks great but also feels practical for everyday use, whether you’re cooking a full meal or just enjoying the space. The updates make it feel contemporary without being overdone, striking a perfect balance between comfort and sophistication. The bathroom renovation is equally impressive. It feels clean, modern, and cozy, with updated fixtures and finishes that give the space a polished, refreshed feel. Everything is brand new, well-installed, and cohesive. The design choices make the bathroom feel more spacious and thoughtfully laid out, and it’s clear that functionality and aesthetics were both top priorities. It’s a space that feels relaxing and well cared for—exactly what you want in a newly renovated bathroom. Overall, this renovation was exceptionally well done. The upgrades to both the kitchen and bathroom significantly enhance the value and livability of the unit, and the quality of the work is evident throughout. It feels like a complete refresh rather than just surface-level updates. Anyone looking to remodel their space will immediately appreciate the effort, craftsmanship, and attention to detail that went into the renovation. Highly recommend—this is a beautifully updated unit that was clearly renovated with care and pride. A job very well done!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We just got our bathroom remodeled after a good friend highly recommended iRemodel. I was hesitant at first but Dave and his crew delivered on time, on budget and the bathroom now looks amazing. There was minimal dust and the team really paid attention to details. A couple times there seemed to be issues but the team was so good in making sure to find solution and solved the problem. We were most surprised that the project actually finished on time as promised. I would highly recommend. Thanks Dave and team for turning our dark and unwelcoming space into a bright bathroom that the girls now love to use.
