Home Renovation in Leaside

Leaside’s tree-lined streets are filled with solid post-war bungalows and two-storey family homes — the kind of housing stock that’s ideal for renovation rather than teardown. Growing families in Leaside are among the most common reasons we get called: a kitchen that no longer fits how the household cooks and gathers, a basement sitting unfinished, or a home that’s simply run out of space.

iRemodel Home Renovation Toronto has spent over 20 years helping Leaside families get more out of their homes without leaving the neighbourhood they love.

Renovation Services We Provide in Leaside

• Kitchen renovations — family-focused layouts, islands, and updated cabinetry
• Basement renovation — turning unfinished basements into livable family space
• Home additions — second-storey additions for growing households

Local Considerations

Most Leaside renovations involving structural changes, additions, or basement egress windows require a standard City of Toronto building permit, which our team manages on your behalf from application through final inspection.

Why Homeowners in Leaside Choose iRemodel

Family renovations need to stay on budget and on schedule, especially when you’re living in the home during the work. Our licensed team of over 200 completed projects has the process down, and every renovation comes with a one-year warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can we stay in our Leaside home during a kitchen or basement renovation?
In most cases, yes. We sequence the work to minimize disruption and keep at least part of the kitchen functional where possible during a partial renovation.

What basement improvements add the most value for Leaside families?
Finished basements with a full bathroom, proper egress, and flexible living space tend to add the most day-to-day value and resale appeal in this neighbourhood.

Is it worth adding a second storey to a Leaside bungalow instead of moving?
For many families, yes. A second-storey addition can add significant living space while keeping you in the neighbourhood, often at a lower overall cost than buying and moving to a larger home.

Do you help with layout planning, or just the construction?
We handle both. Our team works with you on layout and material choices before construction starts, so the finished space matches how your family actually plans to use it.

I found iRemodel through Google, and I’m so glad I chose them. He worked on my late mother’s house, which is very sentimental to my sisters and me, so it was important to find someone we could trust. He worked on the powder room and he was professional, went above and beyond, and stayed in consistent communication throughout the entire process. He was also very punctual. if he said he would arrive at 8 a.m., he was there right on time and always left at a reasonable hour. I truly appreciate the care and respect he showed while working on such a meaningful space. I would highly recommend iRemodel to anyone looking for reliable and thoughtful service. I would definitely look forward to working with him again in the future.

I couldn’t be happier with my condo renovation — the transformation is absolutely stunning! From start to finish, the team brought incredible vision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. They completely reimagined the layout by knocking down a wall to create a spacious, open studio that feels bright, modern, and so much larger than before. The seamless porcelain tile installed throughout the entire unit not only looks beautiful but also makes the space feel cohesive and high-end. One of my favorite upgrades is the newly created space for our washer and dryer — such a smart and functional addition, that added real convenience. They also sealed the kitchen bar to create a more defined separation between the kitchen and living area, which improved both flow and functionality. The fresh white paint brightened everything instantly, and the addition of track lighting in the living room gave the space a clean, contemporary feel while adding warmth and ambiance. Overall the quality of the work was exceptional and communication was smooth throughout the entire project. If you’re looking for a team that delivers beautiful results and truly elevates your space, I highly recommend Dave and his team at iRemodel!

I am very content with the renovation of this unit. From the moment you walk in, it’s immediately clear how much care, thought, and craftsmanship went into redoing both the kitchen and the bathroom. The transformation is truly impressive and has elevated the entire space to feel modern, fresh, and incredibly inviting. The kitchen is a standout. Everything feels thoughtfully designed and well executed—from the updated cabinetry and sleek finishes to the overall layout, which now feels both functional and modern. The materials used are clearly high quality, and the attention to detail really shows. It’s the kind of kitchen that not only looks great but also feels practical for everyday use, whether you’re cooking a full meal or just enjoying the space. The updates make it feel contemporary without being overdone, striking a perfect balance between comfort and sophistication. The bathroom renovation is equally impressive. It feels clean, modern, and cozy, with updated fixtures and finishes that give the space a polished, refreshed feel. Everything is brand new, well-installed, and cohesive. The design choices make the bathroom feel more spacious and thoughtfully laid out, and it’s clear that functionality and aesthetics were both top priorities. It’s a space that feels relaxing and well cared for—exactly what you want in a newly renovated bathroom. Overall, this renovation was exceptionally well done. The upgrades to both the kitchen and bathroom significantly enhance the value and livability of the unit, and the quality of the work is evident throughout. It feels like a complete refresh rather than just surface-level updates. Anyone looking to remodel their space will immediately appreciate the effort, craftsmanship, and attention to detail that went into the renovation. Highly recommend—this is a beautifully updated unit that was clearly renovated with care and pride. A job very well done!

We just got our bathroom remodeled after a good friend highly recommended iRemodel. I was hesitant at first but Dave and his crew delivered on time, on budget and the bathroom now looks amazing. There was minimal dust and the team really paid attention to details. A couple times there seemed to be issues but the team was so good in making sure to find solution and solved the problem. We were most surprised that the project actually finished on time as promised. I would highly recommend. Thanks Dave and team for turning our dark and unwelcoming space into a bright bathroom that the girls now love to use.
