Kitchen Renovation in The Beaches

Get A Quick Quote

Many Beaches homes were built as cottages or small Edwardian houses decades before open-concept living became the norm, which usually means a galley-style kitchen that’s cramped, closed off, or both. iRemodel Home Renovation Toronto has spent over 20 years helping Beaches homeowners rework these narrow footprints into kitchens that actually fit how they cook and gather, without losing the character of the home around them.

What’s Involved in a Beaches Kitchen Renovation

Most projects here fall into one of two categories:

Layout-focused renovations — opening a galley kitchen toward an adjoining dining or living room, often involving a load-bearing wall assessment
Refresh renovations — new cabinetry, countertops, and finishes within the existing footprint, ideal for homes where the layout already works

Kitchen renovations typically take 4 to 8 weeks depending on scope, and most mid-range to full custom kitchens in the GTA run from $20,000 to $60,000 or more, depending on cabinetry, countertops, and the extent of structural change involved.

Local Considerations for Beaches Properties

Narrow lots and older framing are common in this neighbourhood, so removing or altering a wall between the kitchen and adjacent rooms often requires a structural assessment and a City of Toronto building permit. Our team handles this application and inspection process from start to finish.

Why Beaches Homeowners Choose iRemodel

We employ licensed electricians, plumbers, tilers, and cabinet makers directly rather than relying on rotating subcontractors, which keeps quality consistent from demolition through final walkthrough. Every kitchen renovation is backed by a one-year warranty and built with premium materials.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a galley kitchen in a Beaches cottage be opened up to the dining room?

In many cases, yes, though it depends on whether the dividing wall is load-bearing. We assess the structure first and, where needed, design a support beam solution as part of the renovation.

How much does a kitchen renovation in The Beaches typically cost?

Most projects range from $20,000 for a refresh within the existing layout to $60,000 or more for a full custom kitchen with structural changes.

Do you handle the permit process for structural kitchen changes?

Yes. We prepare and submit the required drawings, then manage inspections through to completion.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I found iRemodel through Google, and I’m so glad I chose them. He worked on my late mother’s house, which is very sentimental to my sisters and me, so it was important to find someone we could trust. He worked on the powder room and he was professional, went above and beyond, and stayed in consistent communication throughout the entire process. He was also very punctual. if he said he would arrive at 8 a.m., he was there right on time and always left at a reasonable hour. I truly appreciate the care and respect he showed while working on such a meaningful space. I would highly recommend iRemodel to anyone looking for reliable and thoughtful service. I would definitely look forward to working with him again in the future.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I couldn’t be happier with my condo renovation — the transformation is absolutely stunning! From start to finish, the team brought incredible vision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. They completely reimagined the layout by knocking down a wall to create a spacious, open studio that feels bright, modern, and so much larger than before. The seamless porcelain tile installed throughout the entire unit not only looks beautiful but also makes the space feel cohesive and high-end. One of my favorite upgrades is the newly created space for our washer and dryer — such a smart and functional addition, that added real convenience. They also sealed the kitchen bar to create a more defined separation between the kitchen and living area, which improved both flow and functionality. The fresh white paint brightened everything instantly, and the addition of track lighting in the living room gave the space a clean, contemporary feel while adding warmth and ambiance. Overall the quality of the work was exceptional and communication was smooth throughout the entire project. If you’re looking for a team that delivers beautiful results and truly elevates your space, I highly recommend Dave and his team at iRemodel!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I am very content with the renovation of this unit. From the moment you walk in, it’s immediately clear how much care, thought, and craftsmanship went into redoing both the kitchen and the bathroom. The transformation is truly impressive and has elevated the entire space to feel modern, fresh, and incredibly inviting. The kitchen is a standout. Everything feels thoughtfully designed and well executed—from the updated cabinetry and sleek finishes to the overall layout, which now feels both functional and modern. The materials used are clearly high quality, and the attention to detail really shows. It’s the kind of kitchen that not only looks great but also feels practical for everyday use, whether you’re cooking a full meal or just enjoying the space. The updates make it feel contemporary without being overdone, striking a perfect balance between comfort and sophistication. The bathroom renovation is equally impressive. It feels clean, modern, and cozy, with updated fixtures and finishes that give the space a polished, refreshed feel. Everything is brand new, well-installed, and cohesive. The design choices make the bathroom feel more spacious and thoughtfully laid out, and it’s clear that functionality and aesthetics were both top priorities. It’s a space that feels relaxing and well cared for—exactly what you want in a newly renovated bathroom. Overall, this renovation was exceptionally well done. The upgrades to both the kitchen and bathroom significantly enhance the value and livability of the unit, and the quality of the work is evident throughout. It feels like a complete refresh rather than just surface-level updates. Anyone looking to remodel their space will immediately appreciate the effort, craftsmanship, and attention to detail that went into the renovation. Highly recommend—this is a beautifully updated unit that was clearly renovated with care and pride. A job very well done!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We just got our bathroom remodeled after a good friend highly recommended iRemodel. I was hesitant at first but Dave and his crew delivered on time, on budget and the bathroom now looks amazing. There was minimal dust and the team really paid attention to details. A couple times there seemed to be issues but the team was so good in making sure to find solution and solved the problem. We were most surprised that the project actually finished on time as promised. I would highly recommend. Thanks Dave and team for turning our dark and unwelcoming space into a bright bathroom that the girls now love to use.
